Winter morning sun on Salts Mill

Am idly wondering what it would be like to live in a part of the world where every day it's the same weather and temperature. I wonder if I'd like it less or more than waking up everyday guessing if it's going to be wet or dry, mild or chilly?

Yesterday was a chilly but bright one, making a change from the grey, damp mist. At this time of year, when the sun is rising, it strikes Salts Mill and makes the stone look almost rose-coloured. This is the view from the railway bridge on my walk to work - I count myself fortunate!

  1. Variation is fine, but it would be nice to have some certainty over the variation; i.e. it's great when you can plan a BBQ because you know it will be warm. Lived in California and absolutely loved it.

  2. Lit up as though to take a bow centre stage!

  3. We have different weather almost every day. Is is known for that - wait another day and the weather will change. It is OK and you can never really get used to it. We can have snow up to our rear ends today and bright sunshine tomorrow and melting snow with rivulets of water everywhere, followed by pouring rain or a thunderstorm.
